Dear Supporters,
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support of the Greener Minds Campaign in Ekiti State, Nigeria. Because of your generosity and commitment to environmental education, we continue to make meaningful strides in empowering students to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time—plastic pollution.
We’re excited to share an important milestone from this past quarter. To commemorate World Environment Day 2025, the Greener Minds Club hosted a live radio awareness program centered around the theme: “Beat Plastic Pollution.”
We are proud to report that this special broadcast reached over 1000 radio listeners across Ekiti State and beyond. These young advocates didn’t just share facts—they shared stories, real-life solutions, and a vision of a cleaner, healthier Nigeria.
From reflections on everyday plastic use to practical solutions like bamboo cutlery and reusable containers, their insights were powerful, personal, and deeply moving. Here’s what some of them had to say:
“I always see people buying food from restaurants, and it’s usually packed in plastic packs. If we eat more homemade food, we won’t need all that plastic.” — Oreofe, Grade 12, Club President
“When we throw plastics anywhere, they end up in the ground or water and make everything dirty.” — Sandra, Grade 6, Material Manager
These students—many of whom had never spoken on public platforms before—stepped up with confidence and clarity. They are part of a growing movement—with 20 active Greener Minds Club members—who are learning to speak up, lead change, and live out sustainability in their daily lives.
In addition to the radio program, our Greener Minds members have:
Your generosity is helping students transition from observers to active climate leaders. And we’re only just getting started.
These small but impactful steps are part of our larger mission to reach 5000 students and 120 teachers across 25 secondary schools in Ekiti State. Nigeria, building a generation of youth who are environmentally aware, equipped, and active.
As we look ahead, we’re preparing for the next wave of activities—more school workshops, training sessions, waste-sorting exercises, and community partnerships. To make this next phase a success, we need your continued support.
We kindly invite you to consider making a recurring or one-time donation to help us:
Every donation you make brings us closer to building an environmentally conscious generation—one child, one school, one voice at a time.
Thank you once again for believing in this vision and for standing with our young changemakers. We’re excited to share more milestones with you in the months to come.
With deep appreciation.
