Build a Community Hub for 64 vulnerable families

La semana pasada mantuvimos una reunión con la Agrupación Familiar 10 de julio. Conversamos sobre los avances que estamos realizando de manera conjunta en la construcción del local comunitario y otras mejoras necesarias en el barrio.

Coincidimos en que es muy reconfortante saber que con la dedicación, el trabajo conjunto y su apoyo vamos alcanzando los objetivos que tenemos trazados.

Por ello queremos agradecerles infinitamente y compartirles los logros que hemos alcanzado con su apoyo:

• La comunidad ha sido reconocida formalmente por parte del gobierno distrital y se encuentra inscrita dentro del registro local de Agrupaciones Familiares.
• La comunidad ha logrado completar a través de faenas los trabajos para el reforzamiento de muros de contención y construcción de vías de acceso necesarios para la instalación de alumbrado público
• Hemos recibido el apoyo del Instituto de Desarrollo Urbano - CENCA, una ONG aliada, para la donación de materiales necesarios para el reforzamiento del muro de contención del terreno del local comunal.
• La comunidad ya se encuentra haciendo los trabajos para el reforzamiento del muro de contención del proyecto.
• El proyecto ha sido acreedor del fondo de Pollination Project, lo que contribuirá con su financiamiento.
• Gracias a su apoyo, estamos prontos a conseguir los materiales necesarios para iniciar la construcción del proyecto.

En definitiva tanto ellos como nosotros estamos muy contentos y agradecidos por los avances y los logros alcanzados. ¡Esperamos seguir recibiendo su apoyo para hacer realidad este sueño colectivo! Muchas gracias!

Last week, we held a meeting with the Family Group 10 de julio. We discussed the progress we are making together in building the community center and other necessary improvements in the neighborhood.

We agreed that it is very gratifying to know that with dedication, teamwork, and your support, we are achieving the goals we have set.

Therefore, we want to thank you immensely and share with you the achievements we have reached with your support:

• The community has been formally recognized by the district government and is registered in the local registry of Family Groups.
• The community has completed, through collective work, the reinforcement of retaining walls and the construction of access roads necessary for the installation of public lighting.
• We have received support from the Instituto de Desarrollo Urbano - CENCA, partner NGO, for the donation of materials necessary for the reinforcement of the retaining wall of the communal plot.
• The community is already working on reinforcing the retaining wall of the project.
• The project has been awarded the Pollination Project Daily Grant, which will contribute to its financing.
• Thanks to your support, we are ready to obtain the necessary materials to start the construction of the project.
