Build Community Center In Chitral

Alkhidmat Foundation has initiated the development of a New Community Center inNorth Waziristan, designed to serve as a dedicated space for prayers, Eid celebrations, Nikah ceremonies, community gatherings, and education.

This center will provide a safe, dignified, and accessible facility for the local community—especially in an area where such communal spaces are limited due to geographical and economic challenges.

Story / Update

Chitral’s remote mountainous region has long faced a shortage of community spaces where families can gather for worship, ceremonies, and religious learning. Many residents struggle to find proper venues for offering prayers, hosting Nikah ceremonies, celebrating Eid, or arranging Quran classes and religious sessions.

To fulfill this essential community need, Alkhidmat Foundation has begun work on a New Community Center in Chitral.
The center will be used for:

• Daily and congregational prayers

• Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha celebrations

• Nikah ceremonies and community events

• Quran education for children and adults

• Quran learning, Hadith sessions, and Islamic awareness programs

This initiative will help preserve religious values, strengthen community bonds, and offer families a respectful environment for worship and social unity.

Local residents have warmly welcomed the project, expressing gratitude for a long-awaited facility that will serve as a spiritual and communal hub for years to come.

Beneficiaries

Direct Impact: Approximately 250–300 community members will directly benefit from the center’s religious and social activities.

Indirect Impact: Hundreds more from surrounding villages will benefit during larger events such as Eid prayers and community gatherings.
