Many rural communities across Indonesia - including in Pandeglang (Banten) - face a persistent barrier: children must cross rivers or streams to reach their school. In several places, this means dangerous swims, balancing on unstable logs, or using rudimentary bamboo bridges that collapse in rainy season. The campaign also pledges to help build additional bridges in other underserved, river-split communities across Indonesia.
The broken bridge have some problems, such as Unsafe and unstable crossings, Interrupted schooling / forced absence, Broader community isolation, Inequality of opportunity. Local residents also find it difficult to build due to their limited financial capacity to construct public facilities. In addition, waiting for government assistance takes a long time, while the bridge is needed immediately.
To solve this problem we will Build a safe, permanent pedestrian footbridge in the target village in Pandeglang and others location. This bridge would be designed to withstand seasonal rains and floods, ensuring year-round safe access to school. We will involve local residents and use materials purchased from them to build the bridge.
The safe bridge will Improved school attendance and retention, Equal educational opportunity, Community economic growth. BAZNAS also will implement zakat community development, and BAZNAS microfinance program to ensure that local economy community will grow after assisted.
