Good morning! 
I hope you had a fabulous weekend!
To meet Nalongo and is to experience gratitude through the eyes of her children. she greets you with a smilling face as well as tears of Joy and an emphatic,"Thank you!" Before you can grasp why you deserve such adoration,you catch a michievous glint in her eye. No catch me!" she Taunts,facing the opposite direction sobing again.
it is an adyllic scene, Nalongo only needed  a cup of cornfloor to feed her entire house hold and just like olways you did it.
Normally at this time of year, every one is busy planning the traditional Summer parties to mention but a few. This has been a firm fixture in the calendar for the last over 11  years of our humanitarian service to the most needy. every thing went to immediate lockdown and when it comes to the least valnurable,plus the many families who are on Pay as You earn it is been so scary about the uncertenity about tommorow they feared hunger than COVID19. 
Activities carried out by MATVU during the COVID19 Epidemic  
Community Outreach targeting the street children. 
After the outbreak of the COVID19 the President issued the measures for controlling the 
spread of COVID19 the street children where left vulnerable because they don’t have a home for safety during this period Mama Africa the voice Uganda started the campaign of sensitizing the street children, the street Uncles and the slum dwellers in Kampala on Hand washing and Social Distancing in order to avoid the spread of COVID19 during this period.
Mama Africa the Voice Uganda managed to reach out to all the slums of Kampala Central more especially among the children living and working of the streets. 
 
Community Outreach targeting the street children. 
Mama Africa together with the RDC (Resident District Commissioner) and Local council support strongly managed to control the movement of the street child in one area all the children were given Masks and all the centers and entries were equipped with Hand Washing Tanks and the issue of hand washing become a priority served the children with food and this initiative helped in controlling the spread of 
COVID19 among the children.

The struggle still continues with COVID19 Mama Africa the voice Uganda report from the entire current situation with the plight of the street children. With the blessings from KCCA interventions all the children were settled at Nakivubo Blue primary school and screening was carried out among all the street children KCCA and the children under 17 years of age were selected under the quarantine program, Special thanks goes to you our donnors,RDC,lOCAL Council and the local  Peace keepers, the street children working group, and the local leaders may God bless you for supporting the Vulnerable street children.

  • you have have saved lives through marsks and other PPE(personal protection equipments given to reduce chances of COVID19
