Dear Supporters,
We are very close to our goal! Hopefully by the end of this year we will be building our auditorium. We are about to start the fun process of selecting the final design for the auditorium and the builder.
There is a lovely mango tree in the patio where the auditorium will be built. When we first built the office building, we wanted to save this tree. One of the accompanying images illustrates the plan to build the auditorium around the tree. However, in consultation with many people who have experience in building, we were advised that building over the tree’s roots would probably result in the slow death of the tree which would cause problems later on.
As a result, we modified the design to fill the entire space with the auditorium, which will give us more seating. Our goal is a space that accommodates 50 people, which is the average number of scholarship students each year.
Thank you to all of our donors for helping us reach this point!
