Education changes lives and uplifts people. This project provides a modern and well-equipped school building in a village in Central Java. It supports scholarships, books, classroom fit-out, and school building construction. It continues TCKN Foundation's track record in running The Lilliput World Montessori and enables the Foundation to educate more students, extend its age range, and expand its services, integrating contemporary values-based education with local culture.
Social and economic pressures often force village children to delay starting education and drop out of school early, leaving them with limited employment or work prospects and increased vulnerability, while an inadequate supply of good quality education at an affordable cost remains a barrier to underprivileged youth fulfilling their potential. Further, education is not always valued as it should be, and teachers often lack adequate training and recognition, which can affect their morale.
This project supports the Foundation in completing the construction of a modern, well-equipped building for a village school with a solid track record that provides scholarships to children in need and focuses on attracting and nurturing top-notch teachers. It also offers opportunities to local youth and adults to acquire knowledge and vocational skills that will support them in leading productive, meaningful, and autonomous lives and contribute to the sustainable development of the community.
The project invests in the long-term progress and flourishing of individuals, families, and society by providing empowering quality educational opportunities that can bring about lasting change to life. The world of tomorrow depends on the quality of education today and the Foundation focuses on caring for its teachers and their ongoing professional growth to help lift educational standards and sustain a values-based learning environment supportive of healthy academic and personal development.
