Our young girls and boys in Barlastone Park, Lusaka, need a safe place to play, learn and grow. FC St. Pauli Youth Soccer Academy is upgrading the sports ground at St. Andrew Kaggwa Secondary School into a safe, sustainable football facility for children aged 7-18. Your support will help provide better playing conditions, equipment and opportunities for our young people to develop confidence, discipline, teamwork and life skills while building brighter futures through football.
Young girls and boys in Barlastone Park, Lusaka, lack a safe and reliable place to play football. The St. Andrew Kaggwa Secondary School ground becomes waterlogged and unusable during the rainy season, while poor drainage, limited safety facilities and inadequate equipment restrict regular training. Children aged 7-18 are most affected. Improving the ground will give them a safe, accessible space to play, stay active, build skills and grow.
The project will upgrade the St. Andrew Kaggwa sports ground by improving drainage, rehabilitating the playing surface and strengthening safety. We will provide goalposts, benches, shelters and essential football equipment, plus solar lighting for safe evening training and activities. These improvements will give girls and boys aged 7-18 a reliable space to play, stay active, develop skills and build confidence throughout the year.
The project will create a lasting, safe and sustainable sports facility for young girls and boys in Barlastone Park and surrounding communities. Improved drainage, facilities and solar lighting will allow year-round football and youth activities. In the long term, the project will promote healthy lifestyles, education, discipline, teamwork, leadership and talent development, giving young people positive opportunities to grow and reducing exposure to negative influences.
