Build a Safe Dementia Care Home for Older Adults

Dear Partners,

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported the development of the Raphe Adultcare Centre Residential Dementia Care Centre in Nigeria. Each donation represents a vote of confidence in our vision and a shared belief that older adults living with dementia deserve dignity, safety, compassion, and quality care.

Since launching this project, we have continued to develop our vision of creating a safe, compassionate, and dignified residential care environment for older adults living with dementia and other age-related care needs. While fundraising continues, we have also been actively supporting families through home-based care for older adults experiencing dementia, providing caregiver education in strength-based dementia care, raising community awareness, and developing partnerships that will help us establish a sustainable model of dementia care.

Our long-term goal is to establish a  residential dementia and nursing care centre in Owerri, Imo State, providing person-centred care, psychosocial and spiritual support, caregiver training, palliative care, and meaningful opportunities for older adults to live with dignity and purpose. In our first year of operation, we aim to provide direct support to older adults and their families, equip family caregivers with practical dementia-care skills, and increase understanding of dementia within the wider community.
