Performance brief description
Despite COVID-19 pandemic, GR has continued to implement its project called “ Her Voice Matters” One of the key components of this project is a safe space which aims to promote literacy and provide girls with an inviting and safe space for self-discovery, critical thinking and self-guided learning. This component allows us to not only empower girls, but to also help boys to be exposed to the concept of gender equality and as well as their role to deconstruct the patriarchal system and other obstacles to equal rights among boys and girls. Through this safe space, girls also are given an opportunity to access internet and get familiar with the use of ICT.
Generation Rise in collaboration with Groups Scolaire de Gahanga which is one of our longterm partner, has identified the space and all the preparations to set it up are in the progress. The space is expected to be established and equipped with all materials and equipments in the mid of February and the project will be launched early March 2022.
