BUILD A PLAY CENTER FOR CHILDREN IN ARGENTINA

Dear donors,

We are getting ready for the July Bonus Campaign in order to keep on improving our playing center.  We plan to improve the walls to have a new mural and to start building the top floor.

This playing center is open from Monday to Friday.  The children play, and eat some food also.  Nowadays the economic situation of the families is quite difficult and the children are happy to go to play and to eat.  They also celebrate birthdays for each child.  Volunteers from a Catholic Church come to celebrate the birthday parties.  It is a very special moment for the children.  Enclosed are some pictures of one of the birthdays.  

In Potencialidades we believe it is very important to celebrate birthday parties because it helps children to feel loved and important.  It really helps them a lot for their self esteem. 

During this period of the year we have the Annual Art Contest in which one of the children wins a trip to know the ocean.  In this Art Contest they have to work the Annual Motto that is this year is ¨I am what I give¨, the idea is to work the importance of serving others.  Values are being worked along the year to educate the children and allow them to grow with dreams.

Dear Donors,

We hope the year has begun well for you. As we look ahead, we wanted to share how deeply your support continues to shape the lives of the children at our play center in the Bancalari neighbourhood.

Thanks to your generosity, we are moving forward with plans to continue building the first floor of our play center. Your donations do more than fund construction, they give our children space to grow, to feel safe, and to simply be children. Because of you, we are able to dream bigger and create a future filled with possibility.

Today, between 35 and 50 children come to the center each day to play, learn, and connect. Our hope is that, once construction is complete, we will be able to welcome up to 100 children daily, doubling the number of children who can enjoy a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment.

This year has been filled with moments of happiness and discovery through play. Through art, free play, recycling, and many other activities, the children are building confidence, creativity, and friendships. These experiences may seem simple, but for our children, they make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

Enclosed, you will see a photo of one of our recipients of the annual Honesty Prize. This award celebrates a child who has shown courage and integrity by choosing always the truth. Each year, our children participate in an Annual Values Contest, where they are recognized for living out these values. The child who stands out the most is rewarded with a three-day trip to the ocean, an unforgettable experience and, for many, their very first time seeing the ocean.

We have also included photos of the roof construction currently underway. This important step brings us closer to completing the first floor and continuing our mission through future fundraising efforts.

From all of us, and from every child whose life you touch, thank you. Your support helps us build more than a play center — it helps us build hope, dignity, and opportunity for the children who need it most. We are truly grateful to walk this journey together toward a better future.
