Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, today we supplied food items to St. Bernard Mwenge Primary School in Tororo District, helping provide lunch meals to another 400 schoolchildren. This intervention recognizes a fundamental truth: children need adequate nourishment to grow, participate in school, and make the most of their education.
School-age children require sufficient energy and a varied diet to support their growth, physical activity, and learning. However, for families experiencing economic hardship, providing a balanced diet every day can be challenging. When children do not receive enough nutritious food, they may experience fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and reduced participation in classroom activities.
Through our school feeding efforts, we aim to strengthen access to regular meals and encourage the provision of nutritious food that supports children's overall wellbeing. Depending on the foods available, a balanced school meal can include energy-giving staples, protein-rich foods, and vegetables or other sources of essential vitamins and minerals. The goal is to help children receive nourishment that supports healthy development alongside their education.
Today's food supply will help the school provide lunch meals for another 400 learners. This support is especially meaningful in communities where school meals cannot always be taken for granted. It helps address immediate food needs while reinforcing the importance of nutrition as part of a child's educational journey.
We recognize that sustainable school feeding requires continued support, planning, and access to appropriate food supplies. Every contribution helps move us closer to a school environment where children can learn without the added burden of hunger.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our amazing donor for making this intervention possible. Your generosity is helping nourish young minds and bodies, support children's dignity, and invest in a healthier, better-educated generation in Tororo District.
Thank you for helping us put food on the table and opportunity within reach for these children.
