Build A Permanent Hub to Empower Communities

Thanks to your generous support, we successfully repaired four community boreholes serving more than 2,000 residents in four villages. The restoration of these water points has significantly improved access to clean and safe water for families who had faced serious challenges after the boreholes became non-functional.

Before the intervention, community members were forced to search for alternative water sources, often walking considerable distances to collect water. Some alternative sources were vulnerable to contamination, creating health risks for children, elderly people, and other vulnerable community members.

Your generosity allowed Development Alert to respond to this urgent need by supporting the rehabilitation of the four boreholes. Community members welcomed the intervention and participated in efforts to protect the restored water sources and promote responsible use.

Today, families have a more dependable source of water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and hygiene. The improvement is particularly meaningful for women and children, who now have more time for education, household activities, farming, and small businesses.

The project demonstrates the powerful impact of restoring community infrastructure. A repaired borehole can serve hundreds of people every day and continue providing benefits long after the initial investment.
