Build A Permanent Hub to Empower Communities

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to restore four damaged community boreholes that provide clean water to more than 2,000 people living in four underserved rural villages in Uganda.

For these communities, a broken borehole is not simply an infrastructure problem. It can mean long journeys in search of water, increased exposure to unsafe sources, lost school time, and greater pressure on already struggling households. Women and children are particularly affected because they are often responsible for collecting water for their families.

With your support, Development Alert was able to facilitate repairs and bring these important community water sources back into operation. Families are now able to access water much closer to home, reducing the time and effort required to meet their daily needs.

The restored water points are also supporting better hygiene and sanitation practices. Access to a dependable water source enables families to wash their hands, clean household items, and maintain safer living environments.

The benefits will continue well beyond the completion of the repairs. By restoring existing infrastructure rather than allowing communities to remain dependent on unsafe sources, your generosity is creating a practical and sustainable solution.
