Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, Development Alert was able to rehabilitate four community boreholes across four villages, restoring clean water access to more than 2,000 people. This intervention has brought tremendous relief to families who had been living with unreliable access to safe water.
When the boreholes stopped functioning, residents had few alternatives. Many families turned to distant and potentially contaminated sources, while women and children spent precious hours collecting water. For households already facing economic hardship, purchasing water was often not a realistic option.
Your contribution helped make the necessary repairs possible and allowed communities to regain access to water closer to their homes. The restored boreholes are now supporting drinking, cooking, cleaning, and other essential household activities.
The impact extends beyond individual households. Children can spend more time attending school instead of searching for water. Women have additional time for farming, small businesses, and caring for their families. Communities can also strengthen hygiene practices and reduce their exposure to preventable water-related illnesses.
For the residents of these four villages, the repaired boreholes represent renewed hope and dignity. Your generosity has demonstrated how a targeted investment in community infrastructure can improve thousands of lives.
Thank you for standing with rural communities. Your kindness is helping ensure that clean water remains within reach for families who need it most.
