Build a Permanent Community Healing Center

We are excited to share an important update on Centro Bonilla's journey toward establishing a permanent Community Healing Center in Jayaco, Bonao, Dominican Republic.

Over the past several months, we have continued to listen to the needs of our community and strengthen our programs focused on mental health, holistic wellness, youth development, and community support. As participation in our services continues to grow, so does the need for a dedicated space where healing, learning, and connection can take place consistently and safely.

Today, we are proud to announce a major milestone: the land for the future Community Healing Center has been donated by our founder. This generous contribution brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality and demonstrates our long-term commitment to the communities we serve.

With the land now secured, our focus has shifted to raising funds for the construction of the center itself. The planned facility will include a community gathering space for workshops and wellness activities, private areas for counseling and support services, an office for program coordination, a kitchen and restroom facilities, and a future residential space to support retreats, volunteers, and visiting facilitators.

Currently, many of our programs take place in temporary or borrowed spaces, which can limit accessibility, privacy, and consistency. A permanent center will allow us to expand services, increase our impact, and provide a welcoming environment where individuals and families can access support year-round.

This project is about more than constructing a building—it is about creating a lasting home for healing, community, education, and hope.
