Thanks to your donations, we had a wonderful celebration for the Day of the Child (Dia Del Niño)that filled our hearts with joy and laughter. Our primary goal was to bring happiness to less privileged children, particularly those who live and attend schools Alberto Mejia and Manuel Marcos Martinez near the landfill in zone 3 Guatemala City, where their everyday environment is often challenging and filled with hardship. To create a memorable day for them, we organized an array of festive activities that would uplift their spirits and remind them of the magic of childhood.
The celebration was with joy, and delicious food. Children eagerly gathered around the piñatas, filled with treats and surprises, their laughter ringing out as they took turns trying to break them open. In addition to the sweet treats, we had clowns who entertained the young ones with their antics, their cheerful performances bringing smiles and giggles to the crowd.
Each child received food, drinks, and a special gift, a token of our appreciation and care for them, which sparked their imaginations and hopes for the future. By creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie, we aimed not only to celebrate their special day but also to remind them that they are valued and loved, regardless of their circumstances. This heartfelt event was a beautiful reminder of the resilience of childhood and the impact of community support, as we all came together to make the Day of the Child a truly unforgettable experience. We celebrated it in the room you helped build. THANK YOU THANK YOU, you all made this possible with your donations.
