Raise the Roof

Jambo,

We are forever grateful to all of our generous supporters for the help and financial support you have provided us throughout the year and additionally, and most recently on Giving Tuesday. The rainy season is upon us and our fields and roadways are extremely slippery, but the students continue to walk between the raindrops and make their way to classes and school each day.

This is the time of year that we are reminded how lucky we are to have a roof over part of our dining facility, though just a temporary one, because it continues to keep our students dry, while eating, and the elements out during heavy storms.  The rain has slowed our progress, but we continue to move forward, pole pole, on the days in which we can build safely.  This time of year allows us to teach the children that though we have dreams and our progress slows, we need to remember that we continue moving forward.

We are within $25,000 of reaching our goal and completing the Dining Facility. Your continued support and generosity helps to bring joy to us all. The best part of all of our days is entering the Dinging Hall when the students are gathered during their meals and listening to them laugh and chat with one another. There is nothing like the sounds of happy children to remind us all that our hard work is not in vane.

Our success is a collective effort and as donors you play a crucial role in making our school a success. Studies have shown that children with consistent and nutritious meals are more likely to be engaged and learning in school. Your support goes to ensuring that all of our students have healthy meals three times a day and continue to grow and flourish in a community that surrounds them with love and support.

Ahsante sana for your generosity. Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy New Year.
