“Do for one child what we wish we could do for all”
Our organization has strived to make every decision, starting at the top, with this concept in mind. When we decided to join the fight in the anti-trafficking efforts back in 2014, we knew that it was crucial that we remember who is in the center, the survivors.
As 2019 comes to a close, we are overwhelmed at the incredible support we have experienced this past year. We launch in August 2018, with a clear and focused mission. Since then we have been able to raise over $100,000 towards opening the doors to our first home serving boys that have been victimized by human trafficking. With a constituent base increasing by 32%, a growing and consistent monthly donor base, and formidable partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, we are confident in a strong foundation for our vision.
The journey to the groundbreaking is well under way. During our due-diligence period for the new-build property, we saw that it wouldn’t be able to serve all our needs. After further research, and multiple partnership considerations we are currently in a due diligence period with a formidable nonprofit! Exemplifying one of our core values, unifying stewardship, we have the opportunity to partner with them for services that our program requires, cost-effective property management, and a shorter timeline towards opening our doors. As we work towards the final approval from our boards, we ask that our community continues to show their gracious support.
Our newest addition to our programming, online training platform, is undergoing final approval. We look forward to rolling out the platform in the first quarter of 2020 with excellence and integrity.
We are continuing to build a formidable community of anti-trafficking organizations that are fighting for the voiceless. Working together makes us stronger and more efficient, and the result of that is an overpouring of love that is evident in our work.
We are so grateful for every single one of our donors, and the generous support you have all shown us. A special thank you to the growing 5 donors that have committed to being monthly supporters! This allows us to continue providing services on a constant basis, consistently improve our standards, and increase the strong partnerships we create.
If you haven’t already become a monthly donor, please consider doing so as we are currently in a monthly matching campaign where 100% of your monthly contribution will be matched!
Thank you for being #Allin with #HandsUnited!
Gratefully,
Tatyana Ferguson and the Hands United team
