Cancer can leave young people isolated and struggling long after treatment ends. We are building the Home of Teens Unite, a dedicated place where young people can connect with others who understand, rebuild confidence and move forward after cancer. Our 10 Bricks Challenge invites everyone to be part of the build: every $10 adds a brick, helping create a Home that will provide 30,000 opportunities for young people over the next ten years.
Cancer can turn a young person's life upside down. Treatment can mean months away from school, friends and everyday life, leaving many isolated, anxious and lacking confidence. When treatment ends, the impact does not simply disappear. Young people can struggle to reconnect with friends, return to education or work and feel like themselves again. Yet there is no dedicated place in England where young people living with and beyond cancer can come together to recover.
The Home of Teens Unite will be England's first purpose-built retreat for young people living with and beyond cancer. Here they can meet others who understand, rebuild confidence, improve wellbeing and rediscover what they are capable of. Activities, residential stays and ongoing support will help young people reconnect with life after cancer. The Home will almost triple our capacity, creating 30,000 opportunities over ten years.
The Home will create a lasting legacy for generations of young people affected by cancer. Over ten years, it will provide 30,000 opportunities to connect, rebuild confidence and improve wellbeing. By increasing our capacity, more young people will have the support they need to move forward after cancer, building friendships, independence and hope for their future.
