Project Report & Call to Action: Addressing Classroom Shortages in Rural Uganda
In many rural communities in Uganda, the lack of classrooms is a growing crisis.
Children are often forced to learn in overcrowded spaces—sometimes 80 to 100 pupils in a single room, others sitting on the floor or studying outside. These conditions make it difficult to concentrate, limit teacher support, and affect the overall quality of education. For many learners, this leads to poor performance and, eventually, dropping out.
Through this GlobalGiving project, Development Alert is working to address this challenge by building more classrooms for rural schools.
With your support, we aim to create safe, spacious, and conducive learning environments where every child has the opportunity to learn and succeed.
Expected Impact
Each classroom built is a foundation for brighter futures.
The Need Now
