We at Development Alert continue to witness firsthand the challenges facing education in rural Uganda, where a severe shortage of classrooms remains a major barrier to quality learning. In many communities, children are forced to study in overcrowded spaces, temporary shelters, or even outdoors, making it difficult for them to concentrate, stay motivated, and achieve their full potential.
The lack of adequate classroom infrastructure not only affects learning outcomes but also discourages school attendance, increases dropout rates, and places additional strain on teachers. This challenge disproportionately impacts vulnerable children, limiting their access to a safe and supportive learning environment.
Our commitment is to work alongside communities to address this gap by supporting the construction and improvement of classroom facilities. By creating safe, inclusive, and well-equipped learning spaces, we can foster better educational outcomes and give every child a fair chance to succeed.
