The earthquake on 25th April and 12th May 2015 completely destroyed the Manedanda Primary School of Alampu , Dolakha Nepal. The local community of Alampu consists of Thami and the Kaamis who are economically backward. At present the classes are running under temporary shed. It is important to provide quality education for almost 100 children's . And more importantly there is no other school in Alampu or nearby.
Very unfortunate but true being at a distance of approx 220 km from the capital city. Life at Alampu is complicated. The local communities look down upon the Thami & Kaami community. Our first priority would be to create healthy environment among the communities. Bring them together for the shake of their children's future. Create friendly working area.
Rebuild the Manedanda Primary School with 5 classrooms and 2 toilet (boy/girl) to benefit around 100 children. Encourage the parents to send their kids to school. Help them understand; only education can provide the foundation for their children upon which they can built better future.
Rebuilding Manedanda Primary School, will provide opportunity to each children of Alampu, Dolakha to receive quality education. "Education" where they can acquire the knowledge and skills to lead a healthy, productive life and help become an empowered citizen.
