Title: Community Hand Pump Installed in Lower Dir, Providing Clean Water to 470 People
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation has successfully installed a Community Hand Pump in Dheri Bala Village, Lower Dir, ensuring reliable access to safe and clean drinking water for more than 470 community members while improving health and sanitation in the area.
Story / Update
Access to clean drinking water remains a daily challenge for many rural communities in Pakistan. Families often rely on unsafe water sources, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases and placing a heavy burden on women and children who travel long distances to collect water.
To address this need, Alkhidmat Foundation successfully installed a Community Hand Pump in Dheri Bala Village, District Lower Dir. This sustainable water project will provide safe, clean, and reliable drinking water to over 470 people, significantly improving access to one of life's most essential resources.
The new hand pump will help reduce waterborne illnesses, improve hygiene and sanitation, and save families valuable time previously spent fetching water. By ensuring year-round access to clean water, the project is improving health, dignity, and the overall quality of life for the community.
Alkhidmat Foundation remains committed to expanding access to safe drinking water and bringing sustainable solutions to underserved communities across Pakistan.
