Today, more around 2.5 million Syrian Refugees are living in Turkey. Around 50% of this population is children. Bridge to Turkey Fund's project will help refugee children to achieve developmental progress and will provide continuity in their education. Our project will raise funds to provide the Syrian Refugee Kids with backpacks and education kits; to sponsor their language education & social development; to build libraries for Syrian schools; and to empower these children's mothers.
Turkey is now the largest refugee-hosting country in the world with 2.5 million registered refugees (around 50% of the population is children). To-date, Turkey has built a network of 24 refugee camps in the border cities (around $4 billion is spent). However, the conditions are sub-optimal: About 80% of the refugees live outside the camps in border cities or in the major cities to build a safe and livable future for their children. Without support these refugees won't have any hope for future.
Bridge to Turkey Fund's project will help refugee children to achieve developmental progress and continuity in their education. Our project plans to raise funds to provide the Syrian Refugee Kids with backpacks and education kits; to sponsor their language education & social development; to build libraries for Syrian schools; and to empower these children's mothers by providing them essential language training, which will in turn help them secure a job and provide for their families.
By offering the much needed help to Syrian Refugee children and women, this project will provide them with the basic educational support that they need; and will help build their self-esteem for the future. By offering programs both to children and women this project also will build a community within which women and children will be healthy and safe; and will have an opportunity to re-build their lives from nothing.
