Y.O.G.A. for Youth is in talks with the leaders at Carson Group Home to bring yoga and mindfulness classes to the youth there. We are excited about this partnership because the kids and teens that live at Carson Group Home have specifically asked for yoga and meditation classes. Based on research about Y.O.G.A. for Youth programming, we know that these classes will bring increased positivity, resilency, and self-esteem to the students at Carson Group Home. Once we establish this partnerhip, we will need a cadre of Y.O.G.A. for Youth trained teachers to carry out the classes. Anyone who is interested in become a Y.O.G.A. for Youth trained teacher can learn more about the 40-hour Y.O.G.A. for Youth teacher training at http://www.yogaforyouth.org/events/categories/teacher-training/.
