First Day of School 2022 - BPP
On January 31st, as a result of funds raised through this end-of-the-year campaign, BPP started classes for our 2022 school year in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. We welcomed 94 students old and new, including preschool-age (4-7), and our school-age group who takes ESL classes in Beginner, Beginner-Advanced, Intermediate, Intermediate-Advanced & Advanced levels. Elective course offerings this year include environmental science, dance, fitness, drawing, art, leadership, and computers.
On February 7, we held our first day of classes at our rural program, BPP Escamequita. The children were so happy about our new location, which is more accessible, and we increased our transportation program to offer transportation every day. Students in this school are also enrolled in preschool level ESL and school-age classes ranging from Beginner to Advanced, and the featured elective class is agriculture, with art and environmental science offered as well.
The interest of parents in BPP's program, which provides an education that supplements their children's public school education, has increased greatly this year. We have received many more children than last semester in our two schools, and we couldn't be more excited and are so grateful for everyone who continues to support us for making our programs possible.
