You can bring smiles to a child from a poor socio-economic background by providing note books, lunch box, sandals, drawing books etc, for $15 (1000 INR). The project will support 3190 children by providing a school kit to each of them. The details of the school kit is as follows : 1 Drawing book (big), 1 box of Crayons, 4 Notebooks, 1 Geometry box, 1 Pencil & Pencil set, 1 Scale, 2 Eraser, 1 Water bottle, 1 Lunch box, 1 set of sandals and 1 School bag
More than 600,000 people living in 509 villages of Cuddalore district were affected by the floods caused by heavy rains during December 2015. The poor people who are living in huts and made their livelihoods out of daily wage earning are the worst affected, they lost everything they had. Most children in these families go to Government schools and they have lost their books, bags and notebooks in the floods. The poor families are still working hard to come back to normal life.
We believe that the children should live their life with dignity. Let us join hands in helping these children to get a simple yet useful school kit. The project will support 35 children from poor households with school Kit. A school kit for one child costs $15 (1000 INR). The kit comprise of 1. Drawing book (big) 2. Crayons 3. Notebooks 4. Geometry box 5. Pencil & Pencil set 6. Scale 7. Erasor 8. Water bottle 9. Lunch box 10. Sandal 11. School bag
We will provide 30 children with school kit which will be used by them for more than a year. The children will be able to continue their education with little support from their parents.
