We’re happy to announce that we have brought on a new member of Bring on the Books. Meet our new finance officer, Zarin Zaib:
Zarin is a junior pursuing Math and Physics with a minor in Finance at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Zarin’s interest in math started at a young age but her passion for stories, though developed later, is far stronger. In her free time, she likes to take a break from her very tech-based coursework to read, paint, or do yoga. Combining her interest in numbers with her love for stories, Zarin hopes that during her time at Bring on the Books, she can inspire others to discover their passion as well.
In addition, The Bring on the Books Foundation is excited to bring on a talented student developer to work on the BOB beta app to improve its user interface and broaden its capabilities. The Bring on the Books app aims to directly connect people who have gently-used books to their nearest local organizations, schools, and/or nonprofits on a simple, easy-to-use platform. Bring on the Books is hopeful for the final version of the app to be released and available on the iTunes Store. We can’t wait to see the final product, and we hope everyone else is as eager to put it into use as we are!
