Today, there is a huge problem in America. Two-thirds of low-income families have limited access to books for their children. This lack of access creates an "achievement gap" between high and low-income families. Bring on the Books (BOB) is working to solve this problem. We are a web based app that directly connects people to reroute their gently-used books to their nearest local organizations, schools, and libraries that have limited access to books.
Two-thirds of low-income American families have limited access to books for their children, which ultimately creates an "achievement gap" between high and low-income families. In fact, a study has found that children in high and middle-income families have more opportunities to use and purchase books (approximately 13 titles per child) while in contrast low-income families have limited access to books (approximately one book per 300 children).
BOB is a cloud-based app that directly connects people to reroute their gently-used books to their nearest local organizations, schools, and libraries that have limited access to books. Instead of letting gently-used books sit on the shelves unread, individuals can clean their library and close the access-to-books gap.
Hosting others to become leaders in our community by providing them the resources to reroute their gently-used books and lower the access-to-books gap between high and low income families in North America.
