Bring on the Books has been working hard this fall! We hosted our first Mind + Body Drive in conjuction with F.I.T. 4 All, a fitness-based nonprofit to provide children’s books and fitness wear to low-income youth. Our goal of this event was to simulate the minds and the bodies of disadvantaged youth. Therefore, participants donated a book (mind) and a piece of activewear (body) to gain access to a free fitness class! The event was super fun and included raffles prizes, snacks, and lots of self care. Check out our photos below! Overall, we raised over 70 books and 50 pieces of activewear which benefited Harlem Children's Zone, Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, and The Door!
Finally, through our continued effort Bring on the Books has been able to reroute a grand total of 1,063 books so far in 2016! We could not have accomplished so much this year without your generous support, and keep on the look out for our upcoming holiday fundraiser!
