By Jessica Oliphant | Executive Director
In my last months as Executive Director, I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for Bring on the Books. Last month, we had our biannual Chipotle Fundraiser, and it was great to see the BOB community come together to share a meal and continue our work in bridging the access-to-books gap. This organization is close to my heart, and it means the world to me to see the countless other lives that have been touched by our work.
Over the last several months, we have been working hard to expand the Bring on the Books iOS platform to include an accessible, intuitive web application. Imagine that with a simple Google search, you could access a user-friendly interface that directs you to your nearest school, hospital, shelter, or non-profit organization in need of books. Every individual would be empowered to make a difference in their community. That is why we are in the process of raising money to make this vision a reality. If this vision resonates with you, please consider giving once again to the Bring on the Books Foundation. Or, if you know a web developer who may be interested in getting involved with this process, tell them to reach out to jessica@bringonthebooks.org.
Once again, thank you for your ongoing support. My four years with BOB would not have been possible without each and every one of you!
