300 homes in remote Nepalese villages have light!
So far this year, we have provided training for solar technicians and installed solar electricity sets that are changing lives in some of the most remote and underserved villages of Nepal.
Disconnected from electricity sources, villagers in remote regions typically live in relative darkness, using dangerous kerosene lamps to shed dim light so mothers can cook and children can do homework. By equipping 300 homes with solar electricity sets, we are improving the air quality, reducing the danger and damage from kerosene, and providing a better quality of life for families. Thank you for supporting this important project!
We will continue to update you on the progress and results. In the meantime, Karuna-Shechen is launching a special campaign to teach yoga skills to 1,000 children in need in India. It is a simple & sustainable way to engage young minds and boost their potential! Please see our project page for more information and to help support this altruistic project!
Thank you for reaching out across the globe to support our “Bring Light to Isolated Villagers in Nepal” project & for spreading the word about our new initiative: Teach Yoga to Village Children in India
