Trinity and her grandpa at the Caring Cabin
Trinity and her grandpa at the Caring Cabin

For Trinity and her family, a stay at The Alexandra Ellis Caring Cabin provides a welcome respite from the difficult days spent in treatment at the hospital.

Located on 24 wooded acres near Pacific City, this unique, secluded home is surrounded by a beautiful white sand beach, lakeside fire pit, and a serene, private lake for kayaking, boating, and fishing. The Alexandra Ellis Caring Cabin provides children and teens facing cancer and terminal illnesses that are in treatment in Oregon, along with their families, an extraordinary place to relax and create once-in-a-lifetime memories.

Other CCA programs that prescribe joy to families with sick children and teens include:

  • Chemo Pal® Mentor Program, a program that pairs children and teens one-to-one with compassionate adults who offer supportive relationships throughout chemotherapy or other treatments;
  • Link, a family enrichment program that brings hope during the overwhelming and financially depleting journey by helping families with essential needs; and
  • Music Rx®, CCA’s flagship music medicine program that soothes and rejuvenates hospitalized children, teens, their family members, and the medical professionals who care for them, by infusing the hospital environment with the healing power of music.

With your generous donation CCA can grow these award-winning programs to prescribe joy to more seriously ill children, teens and families.
