The city of Darkhan is Mongolia's second largest industrial center, where poverty, unemployment, alcoholism, health problems, education problems, shortage of jobs and criminal activities prevail. WHAT WE DO: 1. Improve protection to children by providing necessities of life. 2. Provide high-quality life education to children. 3. Provide various vocational training so they may become more employable.
In recent years, more than half of the population do not have proper sanitation facilities, children's health is seriously affected. Also, due to the lack of good care, children can be easily affected by violence and criminal activities. Lack of infrastructure such as streetlights, schools and proper places for recreation also puts children in danger.
Our work consists of 3 parts: 1. Improve protection to children by providing necessities of life. 2. Provide high-quality life education to children. 3. Provide various vocational training.
World Vision Taiwan realizes, through decades of worldwide service, that community-based service is the best way to help local residents.
