Celebrating Our Girls' Achievements 2025

By MONICA ADHIAMBO | DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS

Dear friends,

This week has been a joyful and inspiring one for our scholarship community. We celebrated several Akili Scholarship students who have successfully graduated from high school. We are incredibly proud of these girls, their resilience, hard work, and determination continue to inspire us, and we cannot wait to see them take the next steps as they join college in the new year.

To honor their achievement, we hosted a small celebration where the graduates spent time together reflecting on their journeys and encouraging those coming after them.

For the rest of our students in lower grades, we organized an academic clinic focused on helping them strengthen their performance. During the session, students had one-on-one conversations with mentors about strategies for improving their grades. They also shared their own revision and study methods with each other, providing a supportive peer-learning environment. Every student created a personalized study timetable to guide their learning at home.

As we wrap up the year, we remain deeply motivated by the potential and commitment of these bright young women. Your support continues to open doors for them; doors to education, confidence, and the opportunity to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

Thank you for standing with our girls and believing in their dreams.

Warm regards,

ROF TEAM
