Students at Genet Miriam School in rural Ethiopia are eager to learn, but without digital literacy, they're being left behind in a world driven by technology. We want to create a computer lab that gives them access to the tools, training, and opportunities they need to thrive. Your support will help us equip the lab, provide internet access, and empower these students to build a brighter future-one click at a time.
In rural Ethiopia, students at Genet Miriam School have the curiosity and drive to learn, but they lack access to the most basic digital tools. Without computers or the internet, they are cut off from essential skills needed to succeed in the modern world-skills their urban peers are already developing. This digital divide deepens existing educational inequities and limits these students' future opportunities for higher education, employment, and participation in the global economy.
We will build a fully equipped computer lab with 25 used computers, furniture, and a reliable electrical setup. The school will be connected to the internet, and teachers will be trained to provide digital literacy classes. More than 360 students will gain hands-on experience with technology, unlocking access to education, opportunity, and a brighter future. With your support, we can bridge the digital divide and bring the world to their fingertips.
This project will equip students at Genet Miriam School with digital skills that open doors to education, jobs, and a connected future. With access to a computer lab and trained teachers, over 360 students will gain essential tech skills. Long-term, we aim to provide laptops for individual use, expanding access beyond the classroom. By bridging the digital divide, this project empowers a generation to uplift their communities and shape their futures.
