Dear GlobalGiving Community,
Thank you for standing with American Aid (A A Relief) as we work to bring clean, safe water to 11,000 underserved people in Eastern Uganda's Butebo, Bukedea, and Kumi districts. Families here are still relying on contaminated rivers and open ponds putting children, mothers, schools, and health centers at daily risk. Clean water is not a luxury; it is the foundation of health, dignity, and survival. We are proud to share that we have now crossed the halfway mark, with $25,044 raised from 5 generous donors. We are deeply grateful for every contribution, but we urgently need additional support to complete the remaining wells so no community is left behind.
Progress Update (This Quarter)
This quarter, our focus remained on sustaining momentum and maintaining readiness for the next phase of construction:Continued coordination with local partners across Butebo, Bukedea, and Kumi to confirm priority locations and ensure community-led implementation. Maintained our construction standard concrete lining, modern hand pumps, proper drainage, and protective covers for long-term durability and safe access. Advanced planning for community maintenance and hygiene training so each completed well remains functional for generations.
Every well we build is designed to last. Every community is prepared to protect it.
The Ongoing Need (Why This Cannot Pause)
The clean water crisis remains severe across these districts:
Families collect water from unsafe sources daily, increasing exposure to waterborne disease.
Schools and hospitals operate without reliable water, weakening education and healthcare outcomes.
The burden of water collection steals time from learning, caregiving, and earning, especially for women and children.
When clean water arrives, everything changes: health improves, children attend school consistently, and communities gain stability.
What Your Donation Will Complete (Phase 2)
With the remaining $24,956, American Aid (A A Relief) will complete the remaining sustainable wells. Your support will deliver:
- Additional wells serving 500 people daily with clean, safe water
- Safe access for schools, clinics, and villages currently without reliable water
- Community training for maintenance and hygiene to ensure long-term function
- Transparent documentation and reporting so donors see the impact clearly
Our Commitment Moving Forward
As we push toward completion, we remain committed to:
- Quality construction using proven, sustainable methods
- Community engagement and ownership through local partnerships and training
- Transparent reporting with photos, documentation, and measurable impact updates
- Long-term sustainability so these wells serve families for generations
A Direct Appeal: Help Us Finish What We Started
We are asking, sincerely and urgently: please help us bring this project to completion. Five donors have already made this possible, now we need your voice added to theirs. Every additional gift creates immediate momentum. Without new donations, construction slows and communities remain trapped in unsafe water access. Your generosity builds hope one well at a time. With your support today, we can complete the remaining wells and fulfill our promise to 11,000 people.
With gratitude,
The American Aid (A A Relief) Team
