Global Action Institute is committed to enhancing educational opportunities for 207 girls and boys in Tanzania by renovating learning spaces, providing school supplies, and offering scholarships. This project focuses on advancing education and fostering health through nutrition and clean drinking water.
In Arusha, Tanzania, children at the Faraja Orphanage face significant barriers to education, including lack of schools, inadequate (or complete lack of) learning materials and supplies, and financial constraints. The on-site learning center is dilapidated and lacks inspiration. These obstacles perpetuate cycles of poverty and gender inequality. Additonally, the orphanage needs a clean water filtration system that is regulated, and nutritious meals including fruits.
The project will rebuild classrooms, provide essential school supplies, and offer scholarships. By addressing these barriers, the project will enable more children to attend school, receive a quality education, and reach their full potential. Additionally, the project will ensure there is clean water and that fruit and protein are added to the diet of these children.
Educating orphaned children in Tanzania will lead to numerous long-term benefits, including reduced poverty, improved health outcomes, and greater gender equality. Educated chldren are more likely to pursue higher education and careers, contributing to the economic and social development of their communities.
