Thanks to the generosity of our donors, light is on the way to Pakwach. The families in the community are patiently awaiting the arrival of their new solar lights. Unfortunately, a change in the customs regulations in Uganda last year prevented the commercial shipment of the lanterns from being completed. Instead, the lights were re-routed to another location for storage. They will be hand carried into Uganda on February 10th and then delivery will be made to the Pakwach region. We will provide another update after the over 200 units arrive in Uganda.
We are grateful to those who gave the gift of light. We could not do it without your help!
