65 brick-kiln children study on the bare ground without desks or proper classroom furniture. This project will provide student desks, teacher tables, and teacher chairs for two Bright Hope Brick Kiln Schools, creating a safe and dignified learning space that helps children learn comfortably and break free from generational poverty.
Children in both brick-kiln schools must sit on the bare ground during lessons. The floor is uneven, dirty, and uncomfortable, making it hard to read, write, or concentrate. Without desks or teacher furniture, lessons are disorganized, uncomfortable, and physically painful for both students and teachers. Poverty prevents brick-kiln families from providing even the most basic classroom needs.
