During this reporting period, the AYALA Charitable Foundation continued implementing the “Breathe Life” project, aimed at improving the quality of neonatal care and increasing the chances of survival for premature and critically ill newborns in Kazakhstan.
Although the project has not yet received donations through GlobalGiving, significant progress has been made through the support of our corporate partners and other donors.
As part of the project, Kyzylorda Regional Perinatal Center No. 1 was equipped with modern neonatal medical equipment. The equipment provided is designed to support the care of premature and critically ill newborns, including essential needs such as respiratory support, temperature regulation, and monitoring of vital parameters.
This important milestone was made possible through funding from other corporate sponsors of the AYALA Foundation, rather than GlobalGiving donations. Their support allowed us to respond to the immediate needs of the medical institution and provide healthcare professionals with the equipment necessary for the safe and effective treatment of newborn patients.
The project continues to address a significant challenge in Kazakhstan: many hospitals and perinatal centers still require modern neonatal equipment to provide timely and high-quality care to premature babies. Every properly equipped neonatal unit can contribute to better outcomes for some of the country’s most vulnerable patients.
At the same time, we continue to seek support through GlobalGiving to expand the project to additional healthcare facilities across Kazakhstan. Future donations will help us purchase and deliver life-saving equipment to hospitals where it is most urgently needed.
With the continued support of our partners and individual donors, AYALA aims to ensure that more premature newborns receive the specialized care and equipment they need during the most critical moments of their lives.
