The trauma of bullying and gender-based violence often leaves students with deep emotional wounds. Without intervention, these can lead to lifelong struggles with depression, anxiety, and self-worth. UNICEF reports that mental health concerns are rising sharply among Nigerian adolescents, yet few have access to adequate support.
Our project prioritizes psychosocial care for 150 of Makurdi’s most vulnerable students. Through one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and integration into peer-support clubs, we help students process trauma and build resilience. Teachers and counselors trained in trauma-informed care ensure that every child receives timely, compassionate intervention.
By donating, you restore hope for those who need it most. You enable healing, empower recovery, and provide a foundation for academic and personal success. Let’s make sure no child faces trauma alone—and every student in Makurdi has the chance to heal and thrive.
