Effective child protection starts with strong systems. In Makurdi, the absence of formal safeguarding protocols leaves students vulnerable to bullying and abuse. The World Health Organization emphasizes that “strengthening school policies is critical to preventing violence and promoting mental health.”
This project establishes clear safeguarding guidelines, trains 100 teachers and counselors, and builds peer-support networks in 20 schools. By involving all stakeholders—students, staff, parents, and local authorities—we ensure that protection is everyone’s responsibility.
Your support creates a safety net for 3,500 students. Every donation helps institutionalize systems that will protect children for years to come, providing a model for other communities across Nigeria.
Invest in the foundation of safe education—because every child has the right to learn in safety and dignity.
