In Thailand's poorest borderlands, thousands of children are raised by low-education grandparents, caregivers, and parents. We empower these families through two critical tracks: 1) Executive Function (EF) brain development training for caregivers of toddlers (ages 0-6) to boost early learning, and 2) Family Bonding Camps co-hosted with local schools for children (ages 6-12) to improve EQ and mental wellness. This transforms daily survival into a nurturing environment for remote children.
Meet Grandma Kul, a single grandmother raising 6 grandchildren alone. In rural northeast Thailand, 80% of children in "skipped-generation" homes. This reality creates two severe development gaps: infants (0-6) suffer developmental delays due to a lack of early brain stimulation (EF) from elderly caregivers, and older children (6-12) face emotional insecurity. Living in survival mode, these families struggle to provide the cognitive and emotional nurturing children need to break poverty cycles.
We don't just give handouts; we build a nurturing ecosystem around the child: 1. Parental EF Schools (Ages 0-6): Equipping low-education grandparents, caregivers, and parents with brain-stimulating parenting skills to optimize early learning development. 2. Family Bonding Camps (Ages 6-12): Partnering with local schools to host psychological workshops that strengthen family relationships, directly improving children's social skills, EQ, and mental wellness.
By empowering caregivers, we solve the structural parenting gap in rural Isan. Children aged 0-6 will achieve vital cognitive milestones through early EF stimulation, preparing them for future education. Meanwhile, children aged 6-12 gain deep emotional security and coping skills through healed family dynamics. This dual-track approach lowers school dropouts, prevents youth mental health crises, and raises a generation of emotionally resilient, confident future leaders.
