The breakfast programme for Kindergarten students has been helping children keep healthy, active and attentive to their studies. Most of the children at our school cannot afford to have breakfast at home.
The standard menu included milk with an energy drink (Horlicks), different fresh fruits, bread with butter and jam, boiled eggs, instant noodles, biscuits or muffins. For the winter, some special items have been added to the menu, such as:
* chicken and vegetable soup
* mashed potatoes
* fresh seasonal vegetables, such as carrots
The kids are served milk every day, which they enjoy the most, while the rest of the menu items are rotated. With the continuous support of donors like yourself, the breakfast program gives our students increased energy to resist different diseases and their visits to the school nurse have also reduced to a great extent. The program has also helped teach them table manners and discipline.
Thank you to Global Giving and all Donors worldwide - you have made school an adorable place for our kids!
