Dear donor,
We have completed our 14th year in our Project and are getting ready for the 15th. “Break Poverty Cycle by Educating Girls” project initiated by Nike employees is one of the most funded projects due to corporate matching supports and our loyal individual donors,
Over the years we have had many graduates and new students to take their place .We receive letters from our scholarship students beginning of each school year.
We would like to share some with you:
“Hello, My name is Gamze. I have been studying with your scholarship and motivational support since the 9th grade. Thanks to the personal development activities and technology support you have provided, I have become a more successful student.
I am currently a second-year medical student at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine. I was very happy to learn that you will continue supporting me with a scholarship during my university education as well. Through you, I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to my donors.
I will do my very best to become a woman and a doctor worthy of the Republic. My greatest dream is to one day support the education of girls who, like me, want the opportunity to study. With my deepest respect, Gamze” ***
"Throughout my education, I have always had a great interest in and passion for my studies. I am especially interested in music and recently in math. I took part in the school chorus which attended the 29th October Ceremony by the Karsyaka Municipality. We also participated in the Izmir Chorus Festival held in Adnan Saygun Cultural Center in May and received prizes in the fields of diction and articulation.I also joined a music group formed by a school friend as a soloist and we plan to give concerts in school .
Like many young people, my thoughts and plans have changed over time. For example, last year I wanted to become a music and literature teacher, but this year I have decided that I want to become a pharmacist.
In fact, this is not an entirely new dream. When I was in the eighth grade, I often imagined myself as a pharmacist. However, because I believed I was not good at mathematics and other science subjects, I never seriously considered it . Beginning in the ninth grade, though, my interest in mathematics and the sciences grew , and with it, my confidence in pursuing this dream.
Receiving this scholarship would not only provide me with financial support, but it would also be a great source of motivation as I work toward achieving my dreams. Thank you for giving me this opportunity”
