Break Barriers: Yasmin Bibi Girls College

Dear Supporters,

Yasmin Bibi Girls College, Pirsaddi, has been marked by significant progress and engagement, with a series of impactful events and initiatives aimed at empowering students and enriching their educational experience in the past 3 months.

1. College Growth and Admissions:

The college has experienced notable growth this academic session, with 54 new admissions, including 36 at the intermediate level and 18 at the degree level. This represents a 21% increase in admissions compared to last year, highlighting the growing trust and demand for quality education at Yasmin Bibi Girls College.

 2. Orientation Day:

An orientation day was held for new students to introduce them to the college environment, facilities, and academic expectations. The event aimed to make newcomers feel welcomed and better prepared for the academic challenges ahead.

3. Career Counseling Workshop:

A successful career counseling workshop was organized on December 20, 2024, in collaboration with CECOS University Peshawar at Yasmin Bibi Girls College, Pirsaddi. The event aimed to guide 43 intermediate students on career choices, higher education opportunities, and professional paths. It provided insights into fields like engineering, healthcare, business, IT, and social sciences, empowering students to make informed decisions for their futures.

The workshop included presentations by career counselors from CECOS University, skill development sessions on communication, problem-solving, leadership, and time management, and interactive discussions on university admissions and career pathways. Feedback from students showed a positive impact, with 91% improving their understanding of career options and 85% finding the skill development guidance useful. Many students gained clarity on their career directions, with a notable increase in interest in IT and technology fields.

Faculty members also participated, gaining valuable insights into how they can better guide students in career exploration.

4. Mid-Term Exam:

The mid-term exams were successfully conducted to assess students' academic progress. These exams provided valuable insights into the strengths and areas for improvement of students, helping teachers better tailor their teaching strategies for the remainder of the academic year.

5. Future Plans:

In line with the college's vision to provide cutting-edge education, we plan to initiate the 4-year Degree Program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the near future. This program will provide students with the opportunity to explore one of the most in-demand fields of study and prepare them for the evolving job market.

Yasmin Bibi Girls College continues to grow both in terms of student enrollment and the breadth of educational opportunities it offers. We are committed to shaping the future of our students and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
