Dear Supporters,
On August 17, 2024, Yasmin Bibi Girls College organized a memorable study and recreational tour for 33 students and staff members to Islamabad. The day was filled with enriching experiences, and the students shared their thoughts on the various stops.
Our first stop was the iconic Faisal Masjid. Safia-Nawaz remarked, “We had read about Faisal Masjid in books, but seeing it in person was truly amazing. It really is as wonderful as we imagined, if not more.” Her excitement was shared by many, reflecting how the visit brought their textbook knowledge to life.
Next, the group explored the Museum of Natural History. Nayab-Hussain shared her reflections, saying, “Visiting the Museum of Natural History made us realize the importance of preserving our natural heritage. It was an eye-opener to see the fossils and native species up close, and it made us think about our role in conservation.” Her sentiment highlighted how the museum visit deepened their understanding of environmental issues.
The Lok Virsa Museum was another highlight, with Haleema expressing her enthusiasm: “Our visit to the Lok Virsa Museum was an incredible experience. Seeing the traditional crafts and regional costumes up close was fascinating. It was like stepping into the heart of our culture.” Haleema's feedback captured the essence of the museum's impact on the students, enhancing their appreciation for their cultural heritage.
The tour concluded with a relaxing visit to Lake View Park, where students and staff enjoyed some downtime amidst nature. Recreational activities provided a refreshing end to a day of exploration and learning.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous donors, GEC and Dosti, for making this enriching experience possible. Your support allowed us to blend educational exploration with enjoyable activities, resulting in a day filled with learning, cultural appreciation, and relaxation. The positive feedback from our students underscores the success of this tour, and we look forward to more opportunities that combine learning with leisure in the future.
