Today on International Volunteers Day, Yasmin Bibi Girls College marked a momentous occasion under the hashtag #IfEveryoneDid. The college organized a community outreach program, where students engaged in various activities aimed at promoting positive change. This included a visit to a nearby government high school and primary school, with a focus on plantation, and the distribution of essential items like stationary, whiteboards, and shawls to deserving children.

Plantation Drive: Yasmin Bibi Girls College students actively participated in a plantation drive, contributing to environmental sustainability and instilling a sense of responsibility towards nature among the students.

1. Distribution of Educational Materials:
   Stationary Kits: 31 stationary kits were distributed, ensuring that children have the necessary tools for their educational journey.
   Whiteboards and Slates: With the assistance of Dosti Welfare Organization, 120 slates, 10 plants and 10 whiteboards were provided, enhancing the learning environment in deserving schools.
2. Warmth and Comfort:
   Shawls Distribution: 15 shawls were distributed, providing warmth and comfort to children in need during the colder months.

Impact and Reflections: The students of Yasmin Bibi Girls College embarked on their first-ever volunteer experience with enthusiasm and dedication. We are pleased to provide you with an update on the installation of a solar power system at Yasmin Bibi Girls College, situated in a rural area where daily load shedding extends up to 16 hours. The increasing electricity costs, approximately Rupees 37 per unit, posed a significant challenge for the college, impacting classrooms, water supply to students, and administrative functions.

The system has significantly alleviated the challenges posed by frequent power outages and high electricity bills. The installation covers classrooms, laboratories, and administrative offices, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply that has greatly enhanced the learning environment for the students and improved the efficiency of administrative processes.

Beyond the immediate impact on the college, the installation of the solar power system aligns with our commitment to environmental sustainability. By harnessing solar energy, the college is contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and the overall environmental impact associated with traditional power sources.
